In the art studio, in her intense moments of creation she produced a terrifying world of strange figures apparently out of Bible stories. Jesus and the Devil often appear in her fantasies. An apocalyptic world emerges. While the fires of hell are rendered with strong colours, she also made some very “black” works.

Geneviève Lafont draws with a lot of energy, rage and violence. Her gestures are rapid and precise. She did not use any models: all her works come from her inner world.
